Summer Photo Party {Tallahassee Photographer}

My friend Kim (who's moving *sniff sniff*) hosted a photo party at the lovely Maclay Gardens. As the hostess she recieved a discount for her own mini-session, while those that attended were also able to get a scream'n good deal in a very small amount of time (10-15 minutes per family).

I really love doing these parties because they can be as elaborate or simple as you want and everyone walks away with some great pictures. I mean, like, if I weren't the photographer, I would TOTALLY go to one! hee hee.

Some people ask if it's even possible to get any good photos within such a small time frame. I don't know. You tell me....

(so random fact here...I knew this gal's mama in Georgia when we lived there. She threw a ridiculously cool party that I attended 7 years ago. And it turns out--they were there too! small world, huh?)

My bro-in-law, his wife and my niece are moving away to Utah in a couple weeks. I was lucky enough to snag a few pictures during our family reunion in Fort Gaines, Ga. We have really enjoyed seeing them much more frequently since our move down here, and we will miss them terribly!

We love you and good luck on entering this new door and chapter of your life!

i cannot even begin to express what this image does to me.

as a woman.

as a mother whose children are growing too fast.

one amazingly great part about my job is that photographing babies helps me fight off that baby hunger. i can hold and caress and photograph and then when the sleepness nights and colic begin i am off! much like a grandma. But then...nothing can prepare me for the moments of editing when my whole heart leaps at such softness and joy captured. my mind and my heart scream in unison...
